1. What BGE Is

BGE (Business Growth Engine) is a marketing and online presence service designed for small businesses. We help you:

• Get found online (search, maps, directories)
• Build and grow your audience
• Position your business as the go-to choice in your area

When you work with us, you're hiring us to handle your marketing and online visibility so you can focus on running your business.

2. Results Vary — No Guarantees

We don't promise guaranteed rankings, traffic, revenue, or customer counts. Marketing results depend on many factors including:

• Your market and location
• Your competition
• Your budget and timeline
• How long we've been working together

What we do promise:

• We'll do the work we agree to do
• We'll be honest about what's working and what isn't
• We won't lock you into contracts you can't exit
• We'll treat your business like it's our own

3. Payment & Billing

Fees: All fees are agreed upon in writing before work begins.

Billing cycle: Monthly, unless otherwise specified.

Payment terms: Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

Late payments: If payment is more than 15 days late, we may pause work until the account is current.

Price changes: We'll always tell you what something costs before you're charged. No surprise fees.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel anytime. We don't believe in trap contracts.

Notice required: 30 days written notice.

Final billing: You pay for all work completed up to the cancellation date.

Refunds: No refunds on completed work.

After cancellation: We'll transfer any accounts, assets, or materials that belong to you within 14 days.

5. Ownership & Intellectual Property

Your stuff: You own your business name, logo, existing content, customer data, and accounts. We don't claim ownership of your business assets.

Our stuff: We own our methods, templates, processes, tools, and pre-existing materials. You're licensed to use what we create for you as part of the project.

Work made for you: Anything we create specifically for your business (copy, designs, campaigns, etc.) becomes your property once paid for in full.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

We may handle data about your business, customers, or audience. Here's how we handle it:

• We only use your data to do the work we agreed to
• We don't sell your data or your customer data to third parties
• We don't use your customer information for our own marketing
• We keep data secure and delete it when it's no longer needed or when you request deletion
• If we use third-party tools (email platforms, analytics, ads, etc.), their privacy policies also apply — we'll tell you what tools we use

7. What We're Not Responsible For

We're not liable for:

• Third-party platform changes (Google algorithm updates, social media policy changes, etc.)
• Things outside our control (hosting outages, platform suspensions, acts of God, etc.)
• Indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, business interruption, etc.)

Liability cap: Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.

8. Compliance & Honest Marketing

We don't do:

• Fake reviews or testimonials
• Spam (email, SMS, or otherwise)
• Black-hat SEO tactics that could get you penalized
• Misleading or deceptive claims about your business

We follow applicable laws including CAN-SPAM, GDPR (if relevant), and platform policies. You agree not to ask us to do anything that violates laws or policies.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes:

• We'll notify you via email or notice on the website
• Changes take effect 30 days after notice
• If you disagree with the changes, you can cancel before they take effect
